Pages not Appearing in Google even after adding them manually in search console?

Are you facing a problem where you submitted your page manually to the Google search results using the Google Search Console but it is not appearing in the search results. Well, this article will help you out.

Why my pages are not appearing in Google search results even after adding them manually?
Why my pages are not appearing in the search results?

Google is not a Fool

Let's be honest. If Google is not adding your web-pages to its search results, there must be something wrong. Right? Well, there is something wrong. You have flawed the SEO of your web-page. It's that simple. There could be only two possible reasons behind the un-indexability of your blog:
  • Either the technical settings of your blog is preventing search engines from fetching your results.
  • You have done a blunder in your SEO.
There could also be a third reason that the search engine has not discovered your pages yet. But that's not our case, since we are adding the webpages manually. Let's ponder both of the above-mentioned reasons in detail.

Fixing the Technical Settings of your Blog

Every web-host provides an option to hide your blog from the search engines. Here, I am showing a screen-shot of one of my blogs, BargainIndia.
It is hosted on WordPress, and if you will jump to the reading section of the settings, there you will find an option named 'Discourage Search Engines from indexing this site.'

There is a possibility that this option could be checked in your case.

A similar option is provided in Blogger's settings also.
In the privacy settings, there is an option named 'Visible to search engines'. Make sure that you've marked checked that.

Okay, if there is nothing wrong with the above settings, the reasons could be something else, and there are good chances that you've flawed the on/off-page SEO.

What's wrong with the SEO?

If you're not new in this field, you may have heard about a lot of SEO factors. I've personally noticed that bad writing or very poor readability score leads to SEO penalty and thus web-pages don't appear in the google search results. We are often told to write long articles. But along with length, the readability and quality of the material are also important.
In the quest to increase the length of the articles, we use article rewriters or similar tools. I've also seen people converting content from other blogs and publishing them on their blogs. Time and again, we focus on longer posts and overlook the quality. If the readability of your article is very low, there are chances that your article will not be visible in search results.

Some other signals of bad SEO

Another question that pops-up after the above discussion is that what are the signals of bad SEO. Let me show you a very simple method of identifying whether the SEO of your blog is good or bad.
  1. Add your webpage to the Google Search results by using Google Search Console.
  2. After a few hours, copy the link to your webpage and search on Google. Chances are: it will appear in the search results.
  3. Now copy the title of your blogpost and search Title followed by your blog-name. Example: Title+Savingmypiggy.blogspot.com
  4. If the page doesn't appear as a first result, the SEO of the webpage is very poor.

How to improve the SEO of your Blog

The internet has loads of posts explaining to you the whole Wikipedia of improving your SEO. But here are the cut-short methods of improving your SEO.
  • The length is really the king. Longer articles really rank.
  • Outbound and Inbound links are also important. Don't focus on Backlinks, you must also link to other sites as well.
  • Use images and videos on your web-pages.
  • Last but not least, the tables of content section is also a plus point.

Conclusion

My simple advice to you is to take care of the SEO of your blog and your blog posts must appear in search results. Choose low competitive keywords and you'll be good to go.
