Try to get links from quality websites/blogs. Getting links from high page rank and from related sites is more benefit to your site.
It will work effective, only if your participate in blog commenting by leaving quality comments on blogs.
First create Facebook account and customize your Facebook profile. Include a link to your blog on your Facebook profile. Use About Me section to include your blog URL in visible section on your profile.
Next create a separate page for your blog on your Facebook account and promote your blog using that page.
Next add your Facebook page to your blog/website. Facebook also offering like and share buttons to add to your blog.
You can run contests, sweepstakes on Facebook using apps.
To access Google+ , you need Google account. With google account you can access all Google products like Hangout, communities etc, not only Google+.

Step 4 : Follow instructions and Step up your profile properly.
To increase the appearance of your profile, add profile picture, cover photo and background information.
After creating Google plus account, add friends to your Google+ circle. You can see four default circles in Google+ including “Family,” “Friends,” “Acquaintances” and “Following”. Add friends to Friends circle and family members to Family circle. Like this use circles in Google+.
If you want to a person to a circle that is not listed in your Google+ account, then create new circle.
In latest version : To share your blog post click on pencil button on your profile page.
